"Over the past three years we have had the pleasure of knowing Janelle Laarakker through Musical Memories Music Studio. Our eldest daughter Alison started taking piano lessons at the young age of four, and our second daughter Erin has now followed in her footsteps, also at age four. Janelle has developed piano lessons that are individualized and developmentally appropriate to maximize their interest, enjoyment and learning potential. This can certainly be a challenge to keep a young child focused and interested for an entire half hour of instruction, but somehow each week, the girls come home excited and happy!

My children have also had the opportunity to perform in recitals, and over the holidays in a retirement residence for appreciative seniors in our community. This has developed a strong sense of confidence and understanding of “giving back to our community” through music. I am proud that they have begun to develop a better understanding of performing and how it can make others happy.

In closing, our experience with Janelle and everyone involved at Musical Memories Music Studio has been delightful. We will continue to take piano lessons and expand our knowledge of music for many years to come."
